We particularly want to invest in growing our children in faith and the number of children who are part of the community. We also want to invest in our children from the point of view of our four key priorities. These are lived out across every aspect of church life.
The purpose of the Children's Worker role is to work with the children of St Laurence [0 - 12 yrs], helping them to grow in the Christian faith. The person will speak on behalf of the children in matters of strategy and direction. In addition, this role will assist in the transition from children’s work to youth work.
Vacancy: P/T Lead Children’s Worker
Hours: 16 hours p/w, Must include Sunday Services (1:30pm - 4:00pm), Monday Staff Meetings (11:30am - 1:00pm), occasional Saturdays (x3-4 a year) & Annual Staff Away Day. Other times flexible or negotiable
Salary: Up to £9,725 PA (£22,489 FTE) (dependent upon experience), Plus 5% Pension Contribution
Contract: 2 Year Fixed-Term (with possibility for extension funding permitting)
Probation: 3 Months
Starting Date: As soon as possible.
Location: St Laurence Church, Friar St, Reading, RG1 1DA
Reports to: Associate Vicar
